It is a fact that an ailing person is always lonely. My dad too was ailing and had been admitted to the hospital in September 2010. During his stay we experienced the prompt action taken by doctor Jose Philip Alvares which brought him cure and relief, the smiles and the tender loving care of the nurses alleviated his mood and spirit and the constant visits by the public relation officer, nutritionist and the rest only went to show that they all cared.It is said that to have a place in someones heart is never to be ALONE.

| "On the 24th of July 2010, I went to Apollo Victor Hospital in Margao with the sole intention of doing a blood test and lower abdomen USG / CT scan to rule out the possibility of Appendicitis with my family doctor and surgeon in Panjim.
Fortunately, I met Mrs. Edna Noronha, who recommended I consult Dr. Raj Kumar, the only Laparoscopic Gastro and Obesity Surgeon skilled in the SILS procedure in the whole of Goa. Having undergone an appendicectomy with the SILS procedure performed on her successfully by the same surgeon, I was easily persuaded to do so.
Dr. Raj Kumar examined me and patiently answered all my queries, giving me a detailed explanation on the possible diagnosis. He also explained to me the advantages of the SILS procedure citing a short hospital stay and the aesthetic (no visible scars) benefits versus the standard laparoscopy.
His kind and gentle ways put me at ease and I was very reassured at the end of my first consultation with Dr. Raj Kumar. He also very graciously accepted to perform the SILS Myomectomy after knowing my history of fibroid uterus. Apart from the exceptional and professional treatment given to me by Dr. Raj Kumar, I was further convinced of being in excellent surgical hands by Dr. Alvares who described Dr. Kumar as one of the best surgeons in India.
From my personal experience, I would most certainly recommend the SILS procedure performed by Dr. Raj Kumar to any patient, local or foreign, wishing a successful and an uncomplicated laparoscopic surgery with the benefit of a speedy post-op. recovery period, plus two added bonuses of no permanent visible scars and a personal CD of the whole SILS procedure gifted by Dr. Kumar.
